2010 NCLEES SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The National Conference of Law Enforcement Emerald Societies (NCLEES) will be awarding four (4) $500.00 scholarships to eligible students. Students must be presently in their senior year of High School and planning to attend College on a full time basis or must be presently attending College and planning to continue to attend college on a full time basis for the 2009- 2010 school year.
Student must be the child of an active member of the Colorado Emerald Society. Please review and submit the attached application. All applications MUST be received at the CES PO BOX 40211 PRIOR TO APRIL 15, 2009.
All CES Applications received prior to the due date will be forwarded to NCLEES.

COLORADO EMERALD SOCIETY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
PURPOSE: To establish a scholarship program for the sons, daughters or
grandchildren of CES members in good standing.
SELECTION: The five-member scholarship committee will select recipients.
CRITERIA: Decisions are based on demonstrated leadership, participation's in
school, community and church activities, as well as work experience
Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll as a full time
undergraduate in one of the following:
1. An accredited two-year junior or community college.
2. A two or four year accredited vocational school or college.
3. A four-year accredited college or university.
The Award is offered for tuition and academic fees only and the
recipient must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or above.
AWARDS: Individual Scholarship Awards are up to $1000.00* for each year
and may be re-applied for each year of school (maximum of four
consecutive years).
*Amounts of Scholarship Awards will be reviewed annually by the
Scholarship Committee and are subject to change based on
availability of CES Scholarship funds.
APPLICATION: Along with the above information, recipients must submit a
statement of goals and aspirations and two letters of
recommendations from non-family members. Any unusual
circumstances should be noted and a photo should be
enclosed. All information submitted will be considered
confidential.
